About Me
Hi!

I am Nadia Cruz, nutritionist graduated from the University of the State of Hidalgo (UAEH).

While I was studying I made an academic exchange at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg Canada. During that time I had an approach with people from other countries and different eating habits, this was the first panorama that opened up my perspective about culture and tradition around food, making me feel the need to indagate more about all the aspects around eating.

When I finished my nutritional degree, I moved to Queretaro City to start an intership at a government instance, specifically in the area of food programs where I taught nutrition classes in primary schools. The approach to children in the most remote communities inspired me a need to continue with this educational work, especially for the satisfaction of knowing I planted a small seed of knowledge in each kid/person.

In the next professional stage, I was part of the Anytime Fitness Juriquilla gym team, a new area, very different from everything I had worked on before. In this experience I got better at my ability to work with patients interested on improve their body composition and everything around fitness industry.
I worked with more than 500 patients, each one of them with different backgrounds, histories, preferences, emotions and goals. It was at this moment when I realized that working solely on food was not enough, I needed to have tools to accompany and support my patients on their pat to a permanent change of habits.
This need to provide comprehensive support was the reason that prompted me to do a postgraduate degree in psychology of eating in Spain at the University of Barcelona together with the Nutritional Coaching Institute. This has been one of the most rewarding experiences because it completely changed my focus on food and health, I am now convinced that, to improve our health, it is necessary to start with our mind.

Now I dedicate my time to help my patients from a different perspective of nutrition and above all continue with the educational work because there is no better tool to generate change than knowledge.
